I know not everyone on the job looks at this site, so I am asking for the help of those that do. I have taken a couple weeks off, using my vacation time, since I am unable to deal with union things at the hall with the behavior of the IUOE. I am though still diligently working in getting things in order for our new super power union. If those who read this could help get out the following info:
1. A meeting is being organized with POAM at the Galeic League so that our house work can be done.
2. Do not report payroll errors to the department without notifying the union first and making copies for the union. This is very important! Our members are owed thousands in omitted pay due to both a perceived intent to harm our members and flagrant incompetence.
3. Do not talk or answer questions to supervisors about anything that can result in discipline, especially on certain shifts. Request a steward and invoke your rights.
4. I cant emphasize how important it is to document any questionable behavior or actions of your supervisors or dispatch.
