Well so far from what I heard, these new drug boxes = major delays on scene and at the hospital... Sounds like great news to me.

yep, and add the extra time for the 12 leads that ALL chest pains will be getting, now at least someone will realize how long effective and thorough patient care really takes...

also.... Medics are the only ones to change the new boxes and A-Paks.. but... the basics are supposed to change the IV bags.

Just one more thing for Medics to have to do. So now you have to do all the pt. care, run sheet and change out the box... Medic 1 - 24 delayed at the hospital for, well... everything. Looks like a longer nap for me!!!!!!

I don't think we will use the HEMS boxes because that would be too much like right. No Jenny is a dumb ass and she will F every thing up. For some reason she likes to keep DEMS down. Something to do with the stone age...
On a lighter note, we did manage to kill someone last night cause we were 2 minutes from the hospital, but it took us forever and a day to turn on the phone, wait for it to boot up, call the hospital on the radio to tell them we are going to be calling them on the phone to send a 12 lead AND then send the 12 lead to the hospital that we could see from our scene. By the time it was all said and done, the pt. was dead. I think a BLS truck would have saved the pt.s life, cause all they would of had to do is give o2 and transport. But hey, that's the great new protocols they want us to follow.

Hey don't forget that now there are even fewer code 3 runs, kid with a fever and a parent to stupid to get Tylenol from the drug store crack the box and give them some Tylenol hey instant code 2 run because you cracked a box not to mention a delay at the hospital while you try and find a Dr. to sign your drug sheet then walk to the basement to change it out. Oh and now you have to change the bags as you use them it is a 1 for 1 exchange. And don't forget they took away our blood tubing. We are getting the regional box, everyone in southeast MI except Macomb now will have the same box. And by the way you probably should have just transported your pt.
