I would like to extend a congrats to the members of the Honor Guard for a job well done at Jammie's service today. At first the family only wanted the honor guard to guard the casket then after we arrived the family then wanted us to be paul bearers and also transport Jammie to the the grave site. We stepped up with no hesitation. I would also like to give a big thank you to The Detroit Police Dept. and Warren P.D. for providing not 1 but 12 traffic cars to stop traffic and lead the persesion from Hamilton to Woodward then to 8 Mile to Ryan where Warren Police Dept. stepped up with 5 motorcycle escorts. Jammie's family was very greatful and told us Jammie would be proud of what we did for her.
Honor Guard you should be proud of what we accomplished today, Thank you for stepping up when you were called upon.

Honor Guard Members that attended:
M. O'Neill, E. Liddy, A. Webb, C. Kalvota, D. Smith, Lt. J. DeDecker, & Myself

Again great job and Thanks again for stepping up at a moments notice.

Some more people to say thank you to as well here...even though many of our members are at odds with management, upper management stepped forward (Executive Fire Commissioner, Chief Kelly and A/C Jim Kesteloot) and also deserve a thank you for their assistance with Guard activities today inclusive of getting us the rig. This week, I will be sending letters of thanks to DPD, Warren PD, Metro Uniforms and upper management.

Metro Uniforms in particular for getting everything together for a few of us that were in dire need of proper uniform equipment. Thank you to everyone that assisted us.
